Cape Fox Lodge

Cape Fox Lodge is a subsidiary of Cape Fox Corporation (CFC). CFC represents the Tlingit Alaska Natives of the Village of Saxman. Throughout the Lodge, you can view the art and historical artifacts of the Tlingit Alaska Natives. Cape Fox Lodge represents a long history of what community means to Tlingit Alaska Natives. Tlingit culture puts a heavy emphasis on family and community. Tlingit Alaska Natives were an open culture that welcomed visitors with the idea of increasing their trade capabilities. They celebrated with potlatches, which could last for days because they admired each other, their families, and their community. By supporting their community, they believed they were strengthening one another.
